It is so muted in this thing, that on my belt I cannot hear it in normal conversation. It holds the phone so it gets 1/2 star for that. Very well made and sturdy enough to protect your phone.but you need to hear it ring. Both front and back are solid and the sides are heavy elastic. The minus 4 1/2 is because you can't hear the phone RING in this holder. I can hear my phone ring in the next room without the holder.
this telephone case is perfect for my use and the phone does stay in the pouch very well.It was well worth the investment.
